Some of the world’s highest peaks in the Hindu Kush in the north and the lovely banks of River Indus have abundant attractions for every type of tourist. It also having a lot source of mines i.e. chromite, aqiq stone. Lower Kohistan Culture is thousands years old, unique and extremely rich. Moreover, our people are exceedingly hospitable; they are warm and courteous and take much delight in entertaining guests. We take great pride in our timeless traditions and values. As inhabitants of district often called the ‘Land of Hospitality’, I believe that tourism can play the vital role in projecting a positive and friendly image of the region. Since time immemorial, our high mountains, amazing waterfalls scenic valleys and plains, lush green forests, beautiful ponds, some endangered species of birds which are almost extinct from the other parts of the world i.e. western Horned Trogopan and meadows, historical monuments and rich traditions have been valued for their beauty.
